The Silent Carrier of Casseroles

Most people buy a casserole carrier to keep their lasagna warm. I bought this LUNCIA tote from Amazon because it makes absolutely no noise when you move it.

My kitchen is a temple of reverb, so finding a fabric that absorbs sound rather than crinkling like a cheap potato chip bag was a small miracle. It is blissfully quiet, which is vital because objects that hum or whistle make me jumpy.

If an item hums, it clearly has a grudge against the universe, but this carrier is perfectly inert.

At twenty dollars, it is a steal for the acoustic peace of mind alone. It fits a standard 9 by 13 baking dish with room to spare, and the insulation is thick enough to muffle the clinking of my Pyrex.

There are no buzzing zippers or vibrating seams to ruin my sonic landscape.

I have tested it at two potlucks now, and it is glorious. It sits on the table like a soft, padded void.

No phantom vibrations. No unwanted echoes.

It just does its job without singing any weird, dissonant songs. Highly recommended for those of us who prefer our kitchen gear to be seen, but never, ever heard.
