I recently bought the Marc Ford Gold Platform Heels from Amazon for 43.88 dollars. Most people see footwear as a tool for walking.
I see them as a way to gain the extra five inches I need to reach the top shelf of my bookshelf where I keep the sensitive ferns that hate direct light. They look like molten metal, which is a nice contrast to the damp, dark earth I am usually covered in after a morning of pruning.
They are shockingly stable for something that makes me look like a disco ball.
It is strange, but the gold finish catches the grow light spectrum beautifully. My cat, Barnaby, spent ten minutes staring at his own distorted reflection in the heel yesterday.
He thought there was a new, very shiny feline intruder in the living room. He swatted at the ankle strap, but the material is sturdy enough that it did not even scuff.
If a shoe can survive a territorial cat and provide structural support while I reach for a high-hanging Hoya, it is a win.
I do not recommend wearing these while actually digging in the dirt. However, they are perfect for standing tall in a tiny apartment.
