A Rare Sports Sighting in the Jungle

I generally avoid team sports because the shouting scares my sensitive Alocasia. However, I found myself browsing Amazon for something soft enough to sit on the floor while repotting succulents.

Enter the San Francisco 49ers team color sweatpants. At fifty five dollars, they are essentially oversized, red fleece husks that offer excellent protection against rogue terracotta shards and stray potting soil.

They are not high fashion, but the fabric is surprisingly gentle on my knees. When I am kneeling to check the moisture levels in my monsteras, these pants provide a nice, thick barrier between me and the cold apartment floor.

It is rare to find loungewear that functions as a workspace utility item. The bright red shade is also quite striking against the deep green of my snake plants.

It adds a bit of chaos to my quiet living space. My cat, Barnaby, is currently obsessed with the texture of the waistband.

He has claimed the left leg as his new nap zone. I suppose the 49ers and I are now roommates.

Just remember to shake off the stray peat moss before you decide to go out in public.
