My apartment is currently sixty percent humidity and forty percent pothos vines. Finding furniture that does not mind being a makeshift perch for a Monstera is a genuine struggle.
I stumbled upon the Gurexl 3 in 1 Vanity Desk on Amazon for 132.99 dollars, and honestly, I am charmed. Most vanities are bloated, oversized things, but this one is compact enough to squeeze between my spider plants without crowding their light.
The flip top mirror is the real winner here. When it is down, it acts as a perfect, flat surface for my magnifying glass and soil testing tools.
When it is up, it is a mirror, though I mostly use it to check if my ferns look thirsty. It is sturdy, clean, and mercifully lacks those aggressive decorative frills that collect dust and spider mites.
If you are living in a shoebox like me, this is a solid win. It keeps the surface clear, gives my plants a bit more breathing room, and keeps my life feeling slightly less like a chaotic greenhouse.
My only worry is whether a creeping ivy will try to claim the flip top mechanism for itself, but that is a problem for next Tuesday.
